About Keystone Heights Roofing: Roof Work in Plain English

We're a roofing company that would rather teach you than sell you. Before any work starts, we show you what we found on your roof, what it means and what each choice gets you. Then you decide, and we do the work the way we said we would.

Why We Explain Before We Climb

For most homeowners, the roof only comes to mind when it causes trouble. A stain appears overhead, or a storm leaves shingles scattered across the lawn. That's a stressful moment to get a price full of unfamiliar terms. We think you should understand what's wrong with your roof before you pay anyone to fix it, so that's how we work.

Each visit, we walk the roof and look at the spots that tend to give out first: flashing at vents and chimneys, valleys where slopes join, shingles at the edges and any give in the decking below. We photograph every problem while we're up top. Once we're down, we sit with you and go through the pictures one at a time. When a term like underlayment or drip edge comes up, we explain what it is and why your house needs it.

We're a GAF Certified Installer. On a new shingle roof, we follow GAF's installation steps layer by layer, from underlayment to ridge cap, and we'll gladly tell you what each one does. Just as much, if a patch is enough, we say so. If the roof is worn out, we let the photos show you rather than asking you to take our word.

How We Work on Your Roof

  • Photos of what we found

You shouldn't have to take our word for it. We photograph the problem spots so you can see the cracked pipe boot, the lifted shingle or the soft deck board for yourself.

  • Every option, with its trade-offs

Repair, partial replacement, full replacement, shingle or metal roofing. We lay out what each one fixes, how long it tends to last and what moves the price. Roof size, pitch, the number of old layers and the shape of the decking all play a part, and we point out which ones apply to you.

  • Straight help on storm claims

After a big blow, we offer free post-storm inspections. Should you open a claim, we work directly with your insurance adjuster and walk them through the damage we documented. The adjuster decides coverage. Our part is getting every bit of damage clearly on the record.

  • A clean yard at the end of the day

We cover plants near the house and keep old shingles off your driveway. Before we leave, we run a magnet across the yard for loose nails.

Where We Work

Our crews cover Keystone Heights plus nearby places like Starke, Middleburg, Palatka, Green Cove Springs, Fleming Island, Oakleaf Plantation, Asbury Lake, Lakeside, Gainesville and Alachua. Summer afternoon storms and hurricane season wear on roofs, so a clear look at yours now can keep a small problem from becoming a ceiling stain. We handle roof repair, roof replacement, roof inspections, storm damage repair, gutters and metal roofing. The Service Areas page lists more of where we travel.
